You backed out again.
I won't believe what you say any longer.

2. go back on sth. “違背（諾言），食（言）” ，
指不去做已經(jīng)答應(yīng)或同意要做的事。
英語解釋為to not do something，
that you promised or agreed to do。
go back on one's word “食言，說話不算數(shù)，反悔”
go back on one's promise “違背諾言”
例
You can't go back on your word!
你不能食言！
She thinks we're her daddy,
and we'll go back on our word.

3. eat one's word
eat one's word，吃掉某人的話，其實是指“收回說過的話”，
即“承認(rèn)自己說錯了話”，相當(dāng)于take back one’s words，
而不是“失信、食言”的意思，大家不要弄錯了。
例句：Don't brag so much.
I guarantee you will eat your words sooner or later.
別說大話，我保證你遲早要收回前言承認(rèn)錯誤。
4.in word
這個意思是“口頭上”，
與此意思類似的表達(dá)還有“by word of mouth 口頭上地”。
例句：We should not study for the study in word.
我們不應(yīng)該只是在口頭上說學(xué)習(xí)。
The news was carried by word of mouth to every city.
